At September's volunteer Saturday (5th Sept) we tidied up the herb garden in the Leats Roundabout, which we first planted up in early July. This Saturday we added in a few more centimeters of well draining compost, helping to better bed in the plants following the long drought over the summer.
Some of the herbs are doing well, especially the parsley, rosemary and chives. Hopefully others, such as the thyme, will respond to the benefits from the additional gritty compost that we added on Saturday. And looks like there'll be space for adding in one or two more plants
Soon it should be possible for people to help themselves to some herbs to use at home.
